　　ブログリレー！10人のオンラインスペシャリストが選ぶ10冊!!

　昨年、ニューヨークにて「10 x 10 Japanese Photobooks」というイベントが開催されました。戦後の日本の写真集にフォーカスし、スペシャリスト10人がそれぞれ10冊の写真集をセレクト、合計100冊の写真集を実際に手にとって読めるリーディングルームを設置し好評を博したイベントです。
　その第二弾となる、アメリカの写真集にフォーカスした企画「10 x 10 American Photobooks」が、2013年9月にT.I.Pにて開催されます。
このイベントは、リーディングルーム、オンライン、出版物の3つのコンポーネントからなる、アメリカの若手写真家（出版社）の写真集（出版物）にフォーカスしたイベントです。
　10人のアメリカの写真集に関するスペシャリストがそれぞれあまりまだ知られていない若手作家の作品集（自費出版を含む）を中心に幅広く10冊の写真集を選び、全体で合計100冊のアメリカ現代作家による写真集をリーディングルームと呼ばれる部屋に展示します。会場に訪れた来場者は自由にセレクトされた写真集を手に取ってみる事が出来ます。
　また、リアルイベントとは別に、英語および日本語圏におけるそれぞれ10名のスペシャリストがオンライン上にて写真集を紹介したり、
このプロジェクトに合わせて10人の著者が「アメリカの若手写真家による写真集」をテーマに文章を寄稿する日英バイリンガル仕様のスペシャルブックを作成致します。
このイベントの目的は、多くの方に、ニューヨークの写真家たちやコレクターたちの間でしか知られていなかった／見ることが出来なかった、今最も旬の、また力のある新進作家の写真集を実際に見てもらう機会を提供する事にあります。
　イベント終了後は、広く公共に開かれている場所で多くの方に無料で見て頂ければと考えているため、セレクトされた写真集100冊を東京都写真美術館に寄付致します。
